Social Studies
Students finished up their career activities with Mrs. Skaggs today. During the activity, they looked for five possible jobs that they enjoy in the future. We're going to use their results in our upcoming unit to see if the current trends in globalization will affect the chances of getting one of these jobs due to outsourcing or advances in technology. After working with Mrs. Skaggs, students worked on finishing a CNS activity on an article on China's rise as a superpower. The assignment will be due in class on Wednesday.
Literature
Students recorded all of their scores for this quarter in their new assignment sheet, and then spent some time learning how to improve their quality of work based on the feedback that I give them on each assignment. They then started working on their next assignments - one each on how the author uses word choice, simile, and crisis as story elements in Zach's Lie. They'll have the entire class period tomorrow (Tuesday) to try to finish these assignments.
Reminder - I'll be gone tomorrow (Tuesday). Mrs. Geisman will be the substitute.
